Although the book of Genesis is fifty chapters long, did you notice that God only spent two chapters (Genesis chapters one and two) talking about the creation of everything in the universe? He then chose to spend the next forty-eight chapters talking almost entirely about the lives of different people.
God could have used the book of Genesis to talk about the countless numbers of galaxies He created, each with their untold numbers of stars and unimaginable numbers of planets orbiting those stars. But He didn't. Instead, He chose to talk about people.
So if God chose to spend two chapters of His first book talking about the creation of the universe and forty-eight chapters talking almost entirely about different people, what should that tell us about our importance to Him?Previous
